Our Schools & Academies

Filton Avenue Primary School

Life is a journey that takes us in many directions and with many different destinations. We believe that education should successfully equip every child for each stage of the journey. From their first to their last day at Filton Avenue Primary School.

Filton Avenue Infant School

We are committed to providing a broad, balanced and rich learning experience for all pupils.

  • To ensure we achieve this, our staff team has a wide range of experience, expertise and qualifications
  • We invest in our team by providing high quality and on-going professional training and development
  • All teaching and learning is underpinned by the development of the basic skills of literacy and numeracy
  • The school holds the Every Child a Reader Standard. We have also been recognised nationally for our work in this
  • We are passionately committed to the importance of teaching all children to read

 Learning Ethos

We believe that learning should be an enjoyable experience, one that is fun and vibrant. We are dedicated to providing an environment in which each child can look forward to coming to school each day.

Our success is based on knowing our pupils well – understanding their personalities, guiding them in their journey of discovery and instilling good habits of respect, self-discipline, integrity and courtesy.

To achieve this, we provide:

  • A stimulating learning environment
  • Rich, varied and up to date learning resources
  • Innovative teaching and investigative approach to learning
  • An enriching programme of visits, visitors and extra-curricular activities
  • A culture of challenge, encouragement and support
  • Learning partnerships between the school, home and the community

Parson Street Primary School

Parson Street Primary School, located in the south Bristol area, is a happy, friendly, caring and exciting place where every child matters and children come first. The school is at the heart of the community and we have a wonderful set of staff, governors, parents/carers and children who contribute to the ongoing success of the school.DSC 7739

The aim of everyone at our school is summed up in our vision of 'Live & Learn'. We aim to make learning enjoyable, allowing every individual to achieve their best and to nurture their talents, as well as giving them safety, security and the skills they will need to be good citizens and the workforce of tomorrow.

Parson Street is a fully inclusive school and we welcome children from many different backgrounds. Within our community we promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.

We are delighted to be part of the Trust in Learning (Academies) family of schools from September 2016. We are a school that has big ambitions for the future and constantly strives to be the very best we can be.

Further information about our school is available on our website: www.parsonstreet.com or via our Twitter feed: @ParsonStreet

Bridge Learning Campus

The Bridge Learning Campus is the first of its kind in Bristol and one of very few all-through schools in the United Kingdom.  Occupying a £40 million site are a primary school, a secondary school and a special school.

Bridge Learning Campus is a unique place to learn. Children start with us age three and remain with us until they are sixteen. We work collaboratively to ensure children are nurtured, developed and become happy, productive young people. We have recently been awarded both the Gold Parent Engagement Award from SSAT and the Employability Charter Mark.

We are on a constant journey of improvement at the Bridge and are delighted that our students are thriving with us.

Orchard School Bristol

Orchard School Bristol is one community of adults and young people working together to make sure that each child is supported in fulfilling their potential; socially, emotionally and, of course, academically.  We are ambitious for everyone – we expect the best and we get the best!

We are proud of the academic results that our students have achieved but I believe that the success we have as a school is much deeper than this and is due to our working, committed staff and the supportive learning environment we provide.  We are delighted that OFSTED recognised this when they visited us in September 2013.

Our students feel that they belong to Orchard School – they appreciate that their tutors and their teachers know them well and will support them to meet the ambitious targets we set in their learning and for their personal development.  They also understand that they have a voice and that they are actively involved in shaping the future of Orchard School.
